Bananas are a healthy choice!
Griffith Elementary is one of 47 Schools selected to participate in the United States Department of Agriculture's Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) for the 2009 - 2010 school year. Funds will be received to order fresh fruits and vegetables for use outside the cafteria. The purpose of the program is to provide free fresh fruits and vegetables to all students. It's never too early to learn that eating all kinds of fruits and vegetables is important to help children grow strong and be healthy. We hope this program will give Griffith students a head start in developing healthy eating habits.
